Window sensor error ... forgot about the screen! Fitment ideas?
Got a bunch of Ikea Parasoll window/door sensors for my windows:
put up a few and all seems OK (see photo).
...Until I remembered I have all my screens off for winter. DOHH!
- The magnet is mounted where I need to insert the screen.
- The height of the sensor itself is too tall to clear the screen.
I am trying to think of solutions and have no good ideas ... the only thing coming to mind is to put the sensor directly on the window so it will clear the screen (e.g. as per red box in image). Then the magnet (or A magnet) could be added to (a) the screen itself when installed, or (b) to something attached to the frame to hold the maget over the sensor, e.g. a strip of something like the yellow line in the image. Does not seem like a good nor appealing solution.
Looking for alternative solutions, preferably without having to abandon the Ikea Parasoll sensors, but will consider that if I have to.
