Best for 2-way communications with HA (notifications & commands): Telegram,Signal, Whatsapp, or...?

I just tested the Telegram integration. Outbound notifications work fine, but inbound commands are not triggered at all. I tried listening to telegram_command events and nothing shows up when I send /commands from Telegram.

What do people use/suggest for sending commands to HA and receiving replies (states, etc)?
