Defensemen appreciation post

Defensemen rarely get recognized unless they're scoring lots of goals. Even then, they take criticism for being misplaced forwards. But when a team wins big, the goalie and forwards get the spotlight. When things go sideways, the D is the easy scapegoat. Bad team defense is generally put on the shoulders of the defensemen.

Defense wins games. The stat sheet may not reflect it, but thanks to all of you hard working, shot blocking, lane disrupting blueliners.
