Harvard ALM - What do Academics Think?
A lot of people are getting (rightly) riled up about the degree title on ALM certificates, especially if it relates to visa eligibility stuff in some parts of the world or a career in industry.
Yet if you want to go on to do a PhD in the United States or Canada, it appears to me that the transcript, recommendation letters, and a strong thesis mostly matters. So my humble question to the Redditverse is whether academia looks upon the Extension School’s ALM favorably or not? I know I’m generalizing massively here but I’m curious as to all your thoughts/experiences/things heard through the grape vine.
I’m looking at an ALM in Religion, btw.
