My latest thoughts on what likely happened (based on the latest info)

Since people here are sharing their theories on the matter I thought I'd share mine, building a bit on the latest that has come out.

A lot of people are saying the family has been lying from day one and is motivated by money, fame, drama, etc.

The truth of the matter is, none of us really knows what the family knows, what they knew, and what they didn't know at any given time.

But have they been keeping info from the public? Absolutely. I believe they even said that they were asked not to release everything they knew by LE as it was part of the investigation at the time.

LAPD as well has been keeping info from the public and even from the family (which is a source of their frustration).

I'm thinking this lack of transparency from both LAPD and the family, was probably aimed to protect Hannah in case she really was in danger (they wouldn't want to tip off her abductors).

But now that more info has turned up, it's becoming more clear to me that the family did not want the public to know about Hannah's involvement in an immigration scheme, for fear that people would judge her and stop the search efforts, as they were quite understandably worried for her safety as she had stopped communicating. I honestly cannot blame them for that.

But clearly, this is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation for them, as I can totally see people turning on Hannah if they knew she had gotten herself into this mess.

Anyway here's my latest thoughts on what might have likely happened:

I think something went wrong between her and the 3 other people involved in this immigration scheme (her ex Amun, her "husband" Alan, and Amun's "wife" Mariana), and she got screwed over somehow.

In the middle of her travel to NYC which was part of the original plan, she decided to abort the scheme, and basically run away and disappear in Mexico (and who knows where else from there) to escape from pretty much everything and everyone, including her own family, and LE as well. I think she's afraid that her involvement in the scheme will land her in jail.

The thing is, I don't think she anticipated how this would affect her family, how concerned they would be, and to what lengths they would go to find her. She certainly did not anticipate her father's death as a result of all this.

So now, she is probably ridden with shame and guilt, and REALLY doesn't want to be found. The other possibility is that she has completely cut herself off from the world and has no idea what happened as a result of her disappearance.

Meanwhile, her family is still worried about her, wants to get a sign from her, and still wants to find her and are asking for help, and being pummeled for that because Hannah doesn't want to be found. Personally I really don't think the family is motivated by money or fame as so many are saying. I think they are motivated by knowing Hannah is alive and not in danger, and they'll do anything to know this. I cannot blame them for doing that.

As for Hannah, I fear the worst, especially if she knows all that happened - her dad's passing, and how her family is being raked through the coals, all because she made this decision to run away and they are so concerned about her that they are being relentless in their efforts to find her.

So who's to blame for all this?

Well clearly, the catalyst to all of this comes from poor judgement and decision-making from Hannah, to get involved in such a scheme, with the wrong people.

But she's also a victim here, if she was indeed screwed over by one or more of the other 3 people involved.

The family arguably also made mistakes in withholding information from the public, but as mentioned earlier above I really don't blame them at all. In fact, I see the family as victims in this too, the way they have been lambasted by some people. This family is being destroyed before our eyes and I will not be part of it. They need compassion and understanding, not constant attacks.

But by far the biggest victim, is Hannah's dad.

As a side note on that, I truly wonder if LAPD has shown actual proof of him jumping, to the family. Because a coroner or ME cannot determine the cause as suicide just from the autopsy. The injuries are the same. The cause of the fall is what matters, and only video footage would show this.

Either way, her dad lost his life as a result of this mess.

I hope people can see things from other perspectives than their own, and act in a way which heals, rather than harms.
