Best GF Restaurants Around the World

Wanting to curate a list of the best GF destinations around the world! I have found some amazing places with no reviews mentioning gluten free and not on Find Me GF. List some of your can’t miss spots around the world (even in those hard to reach places ;).

I’ll start:

Naples, Italy - Pizzaioli Veraci. Phenomenal like many options in Italy. Found this place had more options than just GF pizza/bread. Kalamari, aracini, desserts, etc. Italy deserves its complete own thread, but I digress.

Barcelona, Spain - Copasetic Restaurant. I know how popular Bareclona is for GF and wanted to add a less known option. Best Greek salad I’ve ever eaten outside of Greece (coming from a Greek person). Great breakfast and lunch for non GF as well. I think of this place often. I will add, Jansana is a can’t miss. Went about 3 times a week while living there.

Oludeniz, Turkey - Macaronn Bakery (Macaronn pastanesi ölüdeniz). Found GF baklava in a tiny town while visiting Pamukale. I couldn’t believe it. Bought 3 BOXES and ate within the week (easily put down 5k calories in baklava that week with 0 regret). Owner spoke no English and we communicated through hand gestures, but so sweet. CANNOT miss if you’re there.

New York City, New York - Pop Shop Bakery. Everyone probably already knows about this, but I’ll validate the hype. What a treat to enjoy deep fried Oreos with non-GF people and they had no idea.

Minneapolis, Minnesota - Hold the Wheat. DELICIOUS. Had a few months ago and the best GF bakery I’ve been to in a while. Small pastries and great coffee, drove 30 min and would do it again.

Leesburg, Virginia - The Difference Baker. Had to give some credit to my hometown. Delicious pastries, pizza bites, quesadillas, etc. Order in or take out.

Dallas, Texas - JOY Macarons. All ice cream and macarons are GF. They have cookie/cake/brownie flavors so it’s a nice change. I live here, so felt like I should add something, but I have been underwhelmed by GF options in TX overall.

Can’t wait to see everyone’s answers :)

Edit to say: if we get enough places, I will make a Google Doc/spreadsheet with all responses. So it’ll be easy to find options whenever traveling!
