I am new here
Hi. 👋🏻 In 2019, I had what I now know was a gallbladder attack. Ultrasound showed nothing, it went away - thought nothing of it.
This past weekend, I had another, but 1000x worse. Vomiting, diarrhea, chills. Ultrasound shows I’m filled with stones, some measuring just over 7mm. I’m scheduled for surgery 10/15.
I’ve dealt with belly issues for some time, but it’s touch and go. I always chalked it up as I over indulged in foods that hurt (like Alfredo, my favorite!). McDonald’s is another fave, and it’s never bothered me. So to me, a surgery seems like overkill for a not even once a month thing — but my surgeon assured me it will only get worse. Frankly, I’m terrified.
I also have psoriasis that popped up in the past year, and really bad cystic acne along my jaw line out of no where. He says that very well could all play a part in all this. It blew my mind…
Anyone have similar experiences? Any thoughts? Also, anyone NOT have a ton of belly issues - get their gallbladder removed and been fine? I’m terrified of the dumping I’ve read about!
I appreciate any guidance.
