Football Squares
Hello all!
A close family friend has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer recently. With this diagnosis it has been incredibly hard for them to keep up with their bills. He was the breadwinner and his wife is a stay at home mom. About a month before the diagnosis they had the birth of their second child (the oldest is only 2 years old). While this was supposed to be an extremely exciting time for them, it has become a nightmare as regular and medical bills continue to pile up. As a result of this situation we have decided to do some fundraising in their honor. So for the upcoming NFL championship weekend, we will be doing squares for both of the games. The details on the squares are listed both below and on the images that have been attached:
Each square will cost $100 ($10,000 total for each game) and half of the proceeds ($5,000 each) will go to the family and half will go to the winners of the squares.
- 1st Quarter Winner - $1,000
- Halftime Winner - $1,000
- 3rd Quarter Winner - $1,000
- Final Score Winner - $2,000
The scoring numbers will be randomly selected once the entire square has been completed.
If you are unfamiliar with how the games work here is a quick explanation:
Football squares, is a game where players buy squares on a grid and try to match the last digit of each team's score. You match the square that you have with a number from both teams on the grid. And if the last number of the teams score is the number that you have then you win. For example if the final score is Buffalo 24 Kansas City 21 than the square that intersects at Buffalo 4 and Kansas City 1 will be the winner and take the entire prize for that period of the game.
If you are interested in purchasing a square please reach out and let me know which one you would like to buy (by saying the corresponding number in each square). Once a square is purchased I will continually update the board to show what is still available.
