Not having a CBS home in Florida?
Hello, I've always lived in a CBS home since I've lived in Florida. My husband and I purchased our first home together four years ago (CBS) and we love it but think of getting a house that has more land. I am currently in love with a house but it is not CBS and just worried about it? The house is located in Dunnellon and it was built in 1989 but it looks good from the pictures. Does anyone know about Dunnellon and if it gets hit hard during hurricane season? I used to live in the east coast where we would always be cautious since it was right by the ocean but now I am in Central Florida (where people don't put shutters up during hurricane season, the worst we got was some flooding). Also I just always thought that CBS was better than wood. Do YOU live in a wooden home in Florida? If so, let me know how it's been. I know it seems like over reacting, but I'm hoping this would be our future forever home so I want it to be sturdy and last throughout the years.
