Call it luck or being in the right place at the right time, chip drop has blessed me with so much white oak I might have to buy a splitter. Semi sorted and stacked to keep the landing pad open. Some longer 3-5 inch branches and 2-3 cut 6”> logs to buck.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s not much in the northwest thats much better than this, save maybe a pacific madrone. They couldn’t chip and had to buck to size since they couldn’t get equipment in, meaning this is ready for me. Splits like an absolute dream. The only request I make is for no poplar or cedar but never anything specific. I pony up $20 in the hopes it goes to the climber and usually keep a six pack around in case something like this happens.
