It’s been a great couple weeks. Took a hiatus from chopping to ski and came back to - white fir :(. Sadly there was a Douglas fir taken down the day after on the property just next to where this tree got taken from. It will come out to about 3 cords. White fir is a shame - it smells amazing and it has a very attractive grain but it has a low BTU and burns rather quickly, making it less ideal.

Good shoulder season wood from what I hear?
