How does anyone finish school?

I've been going to a community college a little under three years now. I've paid for most of it out of pocket. Finacial aid is a headache to deal with and I've only aced one class since going there. I've flunked last semester, and the school is not letting me do a payment plan with them. I'm usually a good student. it's just my personal life has gone to shit recently and things are just stressful to deal with. I would like to finish school but not at the cost my credit score. School should be free for anyone looking for a education in my opinion. I feel like school is especially hard on lower income adults with average grades.
