You probably didn't notice this, but there was something wrong with the train in Dawntrail on release

When I was playing Dawntrail, I was pretty excited to come across the train after it was mentioned early on. After having a version of the Phantom Train mentioned in ARR and then never showing up, and the Shadowbringers trolley tracks having curves way too tight to ever be navigated, I was wondering if Dawntrail would be free of train sins. Endwalker did pretty well on the train front, so when I finally saw it...

The outer flanges. The train had its flanges on the outside of the track. Not the worst thing in the world, except... that the track switches were clearly designed for a train with an inner flange. The train could never navigate the tracks it was on. And for the longest time I felt like the only person who was bothered by it. And then recently I saw one of my friends playing through the same sequence... and noticed something different. They fixed it! They changed the wheels!

Word to the wise: don't learn anything about machines. The knowledge is a curse.
