Need help choosing bedding

My wife and I are expecting our first baby next month so I want to surprise her with new bedding. She often describes our home as thrifty, moody, and eclectic so I have been looking up inspiration on TikTok and Pinterest. This mockup is what I am currently considering. However, it doesn’t quite look right. I want it to be a surprise, but I also want her to really like it!

Some other things I have been considering: - our dogs spend time on the bed so white/light bedding is out - we each use our own twin size duvet (marriage hack!) so I would like to get a quilt that can go over them to give a more seamless look - nightstands are pretty close to what we already have and cannot be switched out
