Can we consume “chemically pure” potassium and magnesium that are sold in lab supplies store?

Anyone has tried?

Is it works the same as store available supplements? Or are there any side effects? I mean, I watched Neil videos and his “foods” creation usually inedible.

I assume the chemically pure* (99%) are fine to consume. But what about the dosage and the potency?
