Wasps

Not sure where else to ask this, I was in the bathroom and heard something that sounded similar to rain but more like a scraping from inside the wall, is there a chance this is what I think it is? That being yellowjackets or wasps chewing through the wall, if I can get a recording of the sound I’ll post it. It was also very quiet and stopped a few seconds later
