The Organization Looks Unstable
It can be difficult to use reason to judge something that is irrational - and I keep that in mind in looking at the Watchtower. Example: there have been rumors for years about conditions in 3rd World nations such that , if you have an assembly part with other brothers on stage, you should find backups just in case they get into trouble (Df'd or reproved).
Or the 145 year old message that "Armageddon Is Soon" - that no Witness seems to notice, nor reason that it completely terminates any credibility by the Governing Body.
Or being a cult run by 10 white guys (and a token) that has its growth overwhelmingly in Africa. Or painfully boring meetings to prepare for a "ministry" that is mostly imaginary.
That said, they have problems with physical attendance of meetings. By this measure, some congregations seem to barely exist.
They seem to be begging for money. They can't get enough brothers to run things and so keep dropping standards. They are engaged in prolonged legal battles involving lawsuits and legal recognition.
These problems go away if they liquidate Kingdom Halls and go exclusively online. I don't see how that temptation can be avoided. Bringing in Jedele and repeating, 'obey, obey, obey, even if it makes no sense' looks exactly like preparation for this.
How many more tricks can they invent to maintain their facade of growth? Check box publishers, easy re-instatements and multiple small congregations in Africa look like one trick ponies to pump up the numbers.
It looks like a crash is coming. Like one or more GB members finally decide, "that's it, that's all we got, start shutting it down".
