Advise needed : Homesick Italian coffee freak in Belgium - opened my own store
I’m a homesick Italian coffee nerd who could never find the perfect cup of joe in the coffee available where I live. So, I started importing coffee roasters that I really like and began selling them online to other customers (most of them are also Italians or people who frequently visit Italy for holidays).
Three months ago, I opened a physical store where people can taste the coffee and also grab something for breakfast. (I’m from Sicily, and we love pistachio, so I make pistachio croissants here!)
I’m currently teaching myself latte art, and I wanted to ask for some tips. Even though I’ve watched a lot of videos, I’d love to exchange ideas with other baristas to hear their beginner tips.
For those who run a shop with both a shop and a takeaway option: how many of your customers just grab a coffee to go, and how many buy coffee for home or come in for advice?
