Why was Ari so connected to Vince?

It seems like he really enjoyed being with vinny and was very close with him. Like, vince was his favourite client and genuinely cared for vinny more than his other clients. For example when Vince fired him, he was crying. Was it cause vince was young and was having a fun time with the rest of the guys and ari wanted to be part of that?
