IUD insertions are the worst

Just a needless rant / statement. It just slays me how much pain and suffering women are expected to endure. If men had endometriosis, and had to deal with half of the things we have to, they would have so much more funding for research and much more compassionate care. For example, can you imagine a man enduring an iud insertion? They are incredibly painful and we are not even offered pain medications , sedation, we are just expected to endure it and perhaps take an anti anxiety medicine which is not actually pain relief. It just slays me!

I know we deal with much more and in the grand scheme an iud insertion is a minor indignity/ challenge but it’s just an example.
