DVC Resale Market concerns

I recently used the DVC resale market to purchase a 100-point contract for the Grand Floridian (DGF). I wired the final payment over a week ago, but I received no communication from either the title company or the resale market after that. Concerned I might have been scammed, I contacted the title company directly, only to find out that the sellers haven’t signed yet.

When I followed up with DVC Resale Market, they initially gave me a closing date of February 8, which was different from what was stated in my contract. After I pointed this out, they said they’d get back to me. Seven hours later, I received an email explaining that the signer had “some issues” and wasn’t able to sign but should be able to next week.

I’m frustrated by the lack of communication from both the resale market and the title company, as I feel this situation should have been disclosed to me immediately. I’m now wondering: 1. Am I legally able to rescind my offer if they don’t close by the original contractual date? 2. What legal grounds do I have to enforce the contract and ensure the sale is finalized?

This entire process has been extremely disappointing, and I’d appreciate advice from others who’ve experienced delays like this or have knowledge of what to do in this situation.
