Japanese: can’t get a kanji lesson to legendary

Since the recent update, a week or two ago, now there are levels strictly consisting of practicing one kanji. I like the concept cos I’ve been neglecting them a bit but it’s not possible to ‘finish’ the lesson.

I’m in section 3 unit 5 and I can practice the lesson as much as I want but don’t get a chance to turn it legendary.

Has anyone found a way? I don’t know what’s gonna happen when I finish the unit but I like to reach legendary on each lesson as I go and I couldn’t do it for this one. It kinda frustrated me and I left it for a bit and don’t really feel motivated to keep going, might be the AuDHD in me but I hate unsolicited ‘improvements’ that throw me off.

Sorry if someone already mentioned this but I wasn’t able to find any info on it anywhere online
