I've come to realize that I lose interest in the game very quickly, if I follow a build guide
I don't know about you, but my personal experience every season has been so far: build a char, get as far as I reasonably can, then take up a build guide and see how much I effed up. And inevitably lose interest in a week or two at most.
But specifically this season I realized that I really don't want to look at build guides at all - I'll rather stay stuck at T3 or whatever, but at least my toon will be all me.
With this mindset, I find myself thinking and trying to figure things out much more than I previously have.
So, currently my barb (a class which I haven't played for a few seasons, so with the xpac rework it feels mostly new) has a build comprising of frenzy, hammer and berzerking. I even found an Andariel's, which seems to work well with the fast attacks. T3 seems to be now mostly under control, getting ready for T4 (paragon 180 currently). I think I have some key item missing to get the build to the next level, but haven't found it yet.
Bosses seem to be the weakest point for now, as it takes around 1 minute to kill a boss in Pit50 (on vanilla, so no mercs/runes).
So obviously this is far from the most optimal build, but at least it's mine.
What are your strats to not get too bored? And, do you have any hints to drop regarding the barb without spoiling everything?
