Am I stupid for not continuing the phone interview because the HR would not tell me the salary?

TL:DR: HR sounded mad when I asked her for the salary range for a job role and cut the call.

I'm a fresher (2023 passout) and I got a call by the HR from this company, say N, in Chennai. I'm from Hyderabad. She said she's calling from N and wants to start the phone interview.

I maintain and track all my applications via google sheets so I quickly searched for the company name and in the notes section, it was blank. Meaning, there was no salary mentioned and no location mentioned too. (I don't know why I applied, but I applied through their website)

I told her straight up that your website hasn't mentioned any sort of salary range for the role of "Software Developer" and politely asked her if she could give me a number?

She then said, 'You're a fresher right? So we will first have a phone interview, then proceed to a test and based on your performance, more details would be shared"

She then asked for my introduction. I gave it. And while she was asking something about my previous internship, I asked her again that, if she could give a brief salary range for this role, that would be wonderful because I have other companies on hold too.

She sounded mad when she said, "Ok, the HR team will contact you for more information" and then I said alright and cut the call. I don't think she is going to communicate back. But seriously, what kind of company calls on a Sunday and directly starts the phone interview and not give a salary range for a job role.

Am I stupid for losing an opportunity? Any feedback is appreciated, thank you.
