They killed my exotic by making it more accessible.
Everyone's hype for the removal of the mobility nerf, yet only a few realize that this exotics main aspect was killed. The damage reduction. Unsure why there's so much propaganda going around about these gauntlets being people's favorite exotic. When was the last time anyone actually used them? Have you actually utilized the damage reduction side of this exotic in a gm or did you only look at the surge and mobility nerf and go "eww".
Yes all the other reworked buffs are nice, but they killed the only reason I was using the exotic in the first place, just to make it more accessible to a wider audience. Is that a bad thing? I dont know, but I do know that the change ruined this exotic for me. The damage reduction being multiplied was the reason this exotic was so good. The damage reduction being separate from your resilience and frost armor stacks is what allowed you to tank damage and survive within high risk scenarios in the first place. Not just frost armor. I'm sure thousands of users are happy about this change without even realizing their killing the main aspect of this exotic just so that you can jump to the side or heal a little better. I would take that mobility nerf any time of the day as long as my damage reduction was kept the same. This rework/ buff/ nerf would be awesome if they just kept the verb frost armor out of my gauntlets, hell if they reverted the entire frost armor verb entirely and went back to og whisper of rime, id be happier. You already ruined hunters renewal grasps with that verb. Don't ruin mine.
