$6,000 D1 purchase -- AmEx platinum or Delta Reserve?

I'm booking a D1 trip to Asia for October and need a bit of input. I've had the non-branded AmEx platinum for a while now, and only recently got the Delta Reserve (my main motivation was the 10x skyclub visits). I'm debating on which of the two cards I should put this purchase. I currently have no skymiles, as I'm a new member and just getting into flying as I start at my new job, and around 300k membership rewards points. However, I'm aware that skypesos don't do much, but putting the purchase on the reserve could also benefit me in different ways. I currently have no status.

Here's the break down of benefits:

AmEx non-branded platinum: 30,000 MR points and 30,000 skymiles (no status, 5x/$1 spent base rate), $6,000 MQD

Delta Reserve: 0 MR points, 30,000 skymiles + 70,000 bonus skymiles (sign-up bonus) + 18,000 bonus skymiles (3x bonus skymiles) = 118,000 skymiles, and $6,000 + $600 = $6,600 MQDs

I think the main source of my dilemma is that AmEx MR points are a lot more versatile than skymiles, as they can be transferred to a range of both flight and hotel partners. Therefore, I'm hesitant to place a lot of value on the additional 78,000 skymiles I'd be getting. In addition, the additional $600 MQD's could potentially make a difference in my status ultimately -- the difference between gold and platinum (but I don't anticipate an insane amount of flying in 2026). I'm also located in a non-hub (PHX/SJC).

What is the better option here? Loyalty to Delta or MR points that provide more versatility?
