DA or Warwick

Another one of these posts I know... but I am really conflicted and want a second opinion before I sign my contract. I am lucky enough to have an offer for software engineering DA, and an offer to study computer engineering at Warwick.

I thoroughly understand the pros and cons for doing a DA over standard uni route, but I would be moving out very far from home and friends, and it is essentially a 6 year job, so an extremely large commitment. Also the uni I would be going to, while pretty decent, is like a 2.5h train ride from the workplace for some reason.

The main reason I'm conflicted, humbly, is that I'm a pretty big over achiever academically. Most things come pretty easy for me and I've never really had to try at school. One of the downsides of doing an DA, I've read, is that they are better for the vast majority of people, but for the truly high acheivers, going to a good university is better as it unlocks the high end opportunities.

If anyone can offer advice it will be greatly appreciated.
