Need help with the Task Force timeline

So I'm re-reading the manga and trying to keep up with everything that's going on simultaneously but I must admit in my efforts to keep track of everyone's plans and counterplans I lost track of some major events regarding the Task Force and now I'm confused :')

So, I remember that Aizawa and Ide had quit the TF before the Yotsuba arc, right? I also remember that at some point the TF was officially discarded (as the police decided not to get in Kira's way), so they were basically working the Kira case on their own? This part's kinda fuzzy to me. Soichiro commented he wasn't a cop anymore during the Yotsuba arc which means he stepped down from the police but after the time skip he's been promoted to director? When did he go back? I really should've paid more attention to these events but like I said I'm lost and confused so I'd really appreciate any guidance, thank you <3
