We were all a hairstrand away from living multiple centuries
So lately I’ve been reading about scientific medical advancement and specifically related to human life span. In my research i have found out a lot of existential things.
For example. The first person to ever live to age 1000 is very likely to already have been born according to current projection and is almost guaranteed to be born in the next 100-200 if some apocalypse doesn’t happen. And idk about you guys but it’s kinda a bittersweet thing to realize that. If i were just born 100 years even in the future, which is nothing in the grand scheme of things i could have a life span of like 500 or something. Which i would easily take any day of the week. Now i agree that I wouldn’t want to be immortal but i just see zero downsides for living for like 300-500 years.
And to think that this will basically be guaranteed for most people in only 100-200 years is really insane to think about. Also like just the fact they wont ever have to think about diseases and illnesses like cancer and debilitating stuff while they’re only born a fraction of human history away from us living right now is just kinda feels sad to think abt for us y’know.
Idk guys. What are your thoughts
