Expecting first time Dad - scared of frequent illnesses

Hey dads, I love this subreddit, so much support and useful tips. I'm (40yo) expecting my first child in 5 months, all my friends have had children for at least 6-7 years now, and they all get sick extremely often. Some families more often then others, as often as twice a month. Most of the time that one of the kids gets a bug, one or both parents get it as well. I want to be able to support my wife and child as best I can, I exercise, eat well and take supplements, but when I get sick (once every two years or so) I become completely useless and need at least a couple days of laying in bed. I can't even imagine getting sick 12-24 times a year and still needing to support my poor wife and child with the normal demanding routine of taking care of children. Also, we're planning on having 3 children total, so I'm facing years of constant frequent illnesses.. this is extremely intimidating to me. How do you guys do it? Any tips or tricks to get over these bugs quickly or never get them in the first place? I welcome any advice, reassurance or a reality check. Thanks Dads!
