Asteri connection

TOG spoilers. Potentially others.

The Asterian Fae from TOG and the Asteri. There’s gotta be a connection there, right?? I don’t believe in coincidences in the Maasverse anymore, and these are far too similar.

My thoughts are all over the place on this. We know the Asterian Fae essentially vanished. They started off not too far from Doranelle. Then it would appear that some of them made their way to the Southern Continent, based on the Asterian blades found by Nesryn and Sartaq in ToD. There are also Asterian blades in the keep in Anielle I’m KoA. And some of those Fae from the Southern Continent then ended up with the Wolf Tribes in the Hinterlands. We don’t have a solid timeline for these movements and we don’t have a solid understanding of how TOG’s timeline matches up with CC’s. And we don’t know where the TOG Fae who traveled to Midgard were from originally. Only that they showed up after Theia and co were already on Midgard and that they appeared to already know Rigelus and we’re fierce allies to the Asteri. We also don’t know if the TOG world has ever been conquered by the Asteri or how contact was made to then cause the Crossing.

Like I said, I’m all over the place. And the potential for time being different and the whole Valg/Asteri/Hel debate complicates things. But I want to hear thoughts from others!
