A couple questions

28F with history of melanoma in situ having my first colonoscopy on Friday. I’ve been having GI symptoms (unexplained weight loss of 30lbs bringing me down to 100lb or less, changes in habits, pain, cramping, spasms) since September 2023, following the onset of my symptoms I’ve also started having back pain that has increased drastically. This past September i finally saw a doctor because my back pain is affecting my everyday life, she sent me to the ER and I was hospitalized overnight for high liver enzymes with the suspicion of issues with my gallbladder. They couldn’t find anything wrong with me so I was referred to a GI who ordered colonoscopy, endoscopy (next Friday), and mammogram due to palpable supraclavicular lymph node (which turned into an ultrasound on January 29th because I’m “too young”🙄).

Do they take photos during the procedure? Am I able to request those photos before my procedure?

I begin prep tomorrow at 3pm and I have my items, wipes, beef and chicken bouillon, lemon and pineapple jello, popsicles, variety of clear liquids to drink, ginger tea and lime for nausea. Is there anything else that was helpful to you or that I’m missing? I can’t eat upon waking up and I’ll be up at 2:30am for work, and I won’t be able to eat until post-procedure scheduled at 2pm Friday so I’ll be without food for 36 hours at least. Trying to make this all as painless as possible.

Thank you all in advance.
