Auto-populate search results

I'm having trouble getting the address bar to act like a google search engine and populate the most popular searches.

For some context, i turned this feature off over a decade ago on an old laptop and when i cloned the data to the new laptop, the auto-populate feature was still turned off.

I attached an example of me trying to search "Los Angeles olympics" and there are no popular results that return. Going to the google.com webpage does work normally.
