Lipo tourism

Hi there, been following in the background for a while now and genuinely surprised by how many people are trusting non-physicians and aestheticians to perform lipo, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck etc. The costs after travel seem to be within a few hundred to $1k of a board licensed U.S. doc so what is the draw? I feel like the risks aren’t worth saving a few hundred when compared to having no access to my surgeon, aftercare, and heaven forbid a reliable resource if I have a complication. Just genuinely interested in thoughts on this…
