I've joined 小红书 (rednote), like many others, but I have a single major confusion
I saw that it is not okay to post about being LGBT on Rednote, and gay marriage isn't legal so you shouldn't post about being gay or lesbian because you may be showing that to somebodies son or daughter. Similar story for being trans, simply keep it to yourself
I get that, genuinely, not a big deal. But however, my FYP is stock full of gay art, male/male and female/female shipping and I've even seen some barely censored NSFW content (art) that was mlm. The content is in Mandarin, the comments are in the native language as well all in support and adoration of the art
Is there a difference between being gay in real life, and fictional/headcanon LGBT within Chinese culture? And how does one go about making LGBT art or content in a 'proper' or 'improper' way?
I'm just sort of confused on the topic. Apologies if any of this is dumb to ask, and thanks in advance
(Note: I added the NSFW flair as I am unsure of the general handling of LGBT topics in a non political setting and the brief mention of explicit art)
