Old cards and format

I used to be a vanguard player back in the G era in 2018ish… and now that I came back, I thought maybe it’s a good idea to collect vintage boxes and cards from OG vanguard to G era. Is it still worth it to collect OG cards from the old format? Cus like for Pokémon, the older the card, the more worth it has, but what about vanguard?
