4 TEETH EXTRACTION AND BRACES FOR OVERJET

So I (29F) have been miserable with my overjet for as long as I can remember! I’ve been to see my orthodontist today and he said that to achieve a reduced overjet of both my bottom and top teeth they’d need to remove 2 top teeth and 2 bottom and then braces. I agreed to this but hadn’t read anything online until now and I’m really panicking about the effect it will have on my facial profile and reading all the negative experiences. Could any please share experiences or advice? (Pics of my teeth attached)
