Biggest bourbon letdowns?

I recently revisited Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B522 and was reminded of what a letdown it was. Quite hot, muted flavors both with and without water and a lack of fruitiness and well aged notes. When I just got into bourbon I bought the old pirate bottle of regular 94 proof EC 12YO and loved it, so you can imagine my disappointment when the bourbon I thought would be a huge upgrade proved to be much worse.

Other letdowns include

Sazerac 18: Thin, muted flavors — a joke compared to Michter's 10YO Rye.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed: I know this is a favorite of many for a budget-friendly bourbon, but I find it far too harsh and unbalanced to sip on its own. I even tried the previous version with the same results. It works wonders in cocktails, though.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked: Smells wonderful, tastes meh, the massive oak influence is not really integrated into the whiskey
