Why does creatine make me tired?
So I’ve been taking creating for about about a month now. On my first week I did the recommended loading phase taking in 20-25g of creatine. I felt fine and had lots of energy through out my day. I know it takes time for creatine to start working with your body but as soon as I finished my loading phase and into my maintenance phase I’ve began to feel really tired. I take around 5g a day and with plenty and I mean PLENTY of water but ever since I’ve gotten into the maintenance phase I’ve become really drowsy and tired. My days are off and it gets affected by it a lot. I usually take it an hour before my workout with some protein and some carbs, since I read online it helps best that way. I have seen a lot of a difference with my gym performance and appearance, but usually afterwards I feel completely done. I don’t know if I can say that i feel this way because of the workout since this has only started to happen right after I starting taking creatine.
So can creatine make you tired?
