Book vs Movie

How is the book that A Complete Unknown is based on differ from the movie? I left the movie feeling like they rushed through a good portion of that 5 years and was wondering if the book goes into more detail? I have not read any books on Bob so any recommendations on a Dylan book that could shed some more light on those years would also be greatly appreciated.
