My Brown Sugar Milk doesn't taste so good...

Hi guys! I'm a beginner when it comes to Bobas Milks and teas. Recently I've been trying really hard to make brown sugar milk (my favorite)... I've followed some recipes on the internet and seem to have succeeded. But unfortunately it doesn't taste like the stuff in Bobas stores at all. I bought the brown sugar syrup, and followed the recipe with the fresh milk and the brown bobas I cooked! (the Bobas were yummy) Does anyone know how to achieve that unique and delicious taste of the ones we buy in boba shops? 🥺
