Does anyone else think "Stickbird" is when Bandit was offered the job?

I've always wondered why Bandit was so bothered on the beach, they seemed to be having a fun weekend trip. So why was he so upset? My theory is he had been offered the new job that would move them away, and hes spending the weekend considering before accepting the offer.
