Fastest one hand weapon other than saw spear?

I’ve tried the cane and beast hunter Saif but neither feel as fast as the spear. Have also tried the saw cleaver. I’d like to stay away from weapons that take away my ability to parry (blades of mercy I think).

I’m on my second play through and using a skill build about to go into the forbidden woods. Just trying to settle on something before I get too far gone.
