Why so much abuse ?

Why is there so much sexual abuse in BL? I don’t understand why it’s such a recurring theme in the genre, especially in manhwa. Like the most popular titles I can think of, killing stalking, painter of the night, the heart of the lotus, have rape scenes left right and center. Where does it come from ? It happens too often to be innocuous.
