Dear Treyarch, dear Activision, dear rest of all the studios

I am really frustrated with the current state of the matchmaking system in Call of Duty. The implementation of SBMM/EOMM has made the experience feel less enjoyable, and it’s exhausting dealing with issues like people using VPNs, two-boxing, rage hackers, and shadowbans. The game seems to have lost its soul since 2019 as this matchmaking system has progressively worsened.

While it might be intended for player retention, the data (like Steam charts) shows that thousands of players are leaving month after month. If the next CoD game continues with this kind of matchmaking experience, I might be done with the franchise altogether. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out.
