Lost the love of my life tonight
Took her to the ER yesterday when she had labored breathing. They aspirated fluid from her chest cavity and by this morning, she was breathing just fine without oxygen so they discharged her. I only had her home for a few hours until I had to rush her back in and it was too late.
I was alone. I was there during her last breath to kiss her and tell how much I love her. Afterwards, they let me cradle her in my arms for a while in a room. I can’t ever get those last moments out of my head now and I feel like my souls went with her.
