Binding of Isaac doesnt progress

Never played on PC, only switch. So i decided to buy it bundle while it was on sale since I've missed the game. I have defeated Mom about 4 or 5 times now but instead of giving me the death animation it immediately cuts to the cutscene, says ive unlocked a bunch of things then back to the main menu with no win streak or none of the challenges, items or characters ive unlocked playable (They show up on my steam profile as unlocked too). Any known fix for this that I must've just skimmed over? already tried to reinstall/verify game files to no change.

I dont have any mods installed, i had some before but deleted them.

This has been an issue ever since i had it, its been maybe a year or two now
