Nationals Update
Wow. What a weekend. I got pushed to class C instead of my normal B class (apparently I grew 1/4” lol). There were nearly 30 girls in my class and I ended up in second callouts and placing 14. I’ve never seen this level of competition at an amateur show so while it’s not the top 10 I wanted, I can’t complain. I was also definitely the oldest one in my class (I just turned 40 in August) so that’s gotta count for something right?!?! 😂
It did illuminate to me that I am still very small relative to what I need to score a pro card, but moving forward I see what needs to be done and will be getting back to work. Overall it was a super well run show and they were able to eliminate as much show day stress as possible so the athletes could focus on performing. It was a wonderful experience and I’m just proud to have made it to a national stage at all.
