My betta has fin rot, plz help!

I rescued a betta and it’s clear he has bad fin rot, I’ve gone through two rounds of betta fix with him and do water test frequently. I have since been told that betta fix isn’t good so I am now switching to almond leafs for a natural medicine. Also he has no sharp objects in the tank. If you have any advice please share it with me, thank you!!
