betta has unknown parasite, I think. what do I do?
When I got my betta in almost a month ago, he was fine initially and then started showing signs of clamped fins and stress. I thought the problem was the coverage in the tank so I added plants and root tabs. The root tabs caused an ammonia spike that took about a week to deal with, and he was really stressed but made it through. The clamped fins are persisting, though. I dosed prazipro on June 3 rd and he seemed to be getting better, but he’s back to gasping on the substrate (see attached photo). He gets really excited at food and his fins go unclamped while he hunts (although his aim is terrible, not sure if that’s a symptom of something but he’s working on it). Since I’ve treated him once with Prazipro, should I continue? Or should I get something else? I put an airstone in as well and have been adding Seachem Stressguard intermittently at double dosage.
